A Love Note
RISE grew from something very personal to me.
I started Willa B by making dancewear for my own girls. Before long, other dancers around us began asking for dance outfits of their own and Willa B grew into something much bigger than I ever expected. Today, it still supports young dancers as they begin their journey.
But as the dancers around me grew (my own daughter included), I could see things shifting. We weren't just sizing up - we were stepping into a completely new stage. Not just bigger sizes, but bigger changes.
My own daughter is right in the middle of these years now, and if I'm being totally honest, we're still figuring things out together. The physical changes, the confidence shifts, the friendships, the pressures, the expectations...it's a lot for girls to carry while also showing up to train, perform, and grow.
That's where RISE began.
Not from having all the answers, but from wanting to support girls through a stage that is overwhelming. At this stage, confidence can feel fragile. Comparison creeps in. Things get hard. I want girls to know that their mental and emotional wellbeing matter just as much as physical strength or technique or team placements.
My hope with RISE is to create dancewear that supports girls through these years both in how it fits their bodies, but also in how it supports their confidence and sense of self.
I want girls to feel strong when they step into the studio.
I want girls to feel comforable in their own skin.
I want girls to feel supported as they grow, change, and figure out who they are.
THESE YEARS MATTER.
The way girls feel about themselves during this stage of life can shape so much of what comes next. If something as simple as well-designed, supportive dancewear can help them feel even a little more confident and bold, then that's something worth creating.
RISE exists to support growing dancers - physically, emotionally, and mentally - while they navigate this precious season of life.
And truly, this brand is growing right alongside them.
XOXO,
Haley
